Beautiful Victorian Satin Glass Biscuit Jar. Made by Mt. Washington Pairpoint or Smith Bros. Circa 1880's. It is a beautifully decorated Transparent Biscuit Jar that is a dark shade of Green with a white and yellow Daisy decor. This decor has greenery around the flowers and some of the leaves and stems have traces of gold. It is the Melon Shape with 6 lobes. As you can see, the gold is still on the rim. Original lid. In the top of this classic silver lid are the #'s 402 and 100 which are engraved and put there by the manufacturer. The Ht. is 6 1/2" and about 7" wide. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or flakes and with great metal and decor. |
