Beautiful Nakara
Box with Bisque Applied Flowers. This is one of the most desirable
yet hard to find boxes by C F Monroe. It has a beautiful green shading
with pink flowers. The box is about 4 1/2 in across and about
3 1/4 in. high. Many of the petals of the flowers are broken as is typical
with this pattern. According to Cohen in his classic book on Monroe
glass, this Extremely Rare box never survives without broken flowers.
Original lining (needs replacing). The metal is all there but the solder has come loose
which holds the top attachment to the bottom. The top is just setting on
