Victorian Glass Brides Bowl or Fruit Bowl was made by New Martinsville Glass Co.  Circa 1900.  They made 3 sizes of these bowls and this one is the largest.  This bowl is clear glass with irridized edges.  Diameter is about 11" and the Ht. is 4".  It rings like a bell.  Everett and Addie Miller, the pioneers in the research of New Martinsville Glass, authored several books on this type of glass.  Although this bowl is almost crystal clear, with the iridescence on the edges of the bowl it is called Muranese Glass.  Collectors named this type of coloring Sunrise. Excellent Condition.
