A Beautiful Victorian Curved Basket
Celery. It has Amber Stained flowers and leaves for decor. Maker is
Hobbs and the pattern is called Leaf and Flower. This very attractive
Celery Basket is 11 1/2" long and 3 1/2" high at the roped
handle. Circa 1890. We have had a couple of these baskets and they
seem to have the roughness or tiny chips on the ends of the basket. Scroll
down to see the pic we have added. This one also has the tiny chips or roughness
on the end edges. The horizontal lines that you see are part of
the decor separating or scoring the floral decor from the clear part of the
celery. A Very nice and usual piece of this pattern and seldom seen.
