Beautiful Rubina, which is Cranberry to Clear, Victorian Glass Sugar Shaker made by Harry Northwood. The pattern is called Northwood's Aurora. Since the pattern is also known in the Ring Neck Mold, collector's now refer to this shaker as Northwood's Aurora, Ball Shape Mold. Heacock earlier thought that it was made by Hobbs, and named it Hobbs' Optic, but later changed to Northwood when the correct information was found. Circa 1890's. Original lid. It is about 3 1/2" tall. Excellent Condition. |
