Victorian Amber Syrup as pictured in Heacock's Colored Pattern Glass Syrup
and Sugar Shaker Book III, page 28. This pattern is called Inverted
Thumbprint or (IVT). It was believed that Hobbs originally produced this
pattern and later was produced by Northwood, Duncan and possibly the New England
Glass companies. Circa 1885. Syrup is 6 1/2" to the top of the
lid. On the front of the lid it has the letters, pat'd Apr. 28 '81.
Very old lid which still has a spring to it, but has lost its plating. We
have not tried to polish it. No chips, cracks or flakes and is in Excellent
Condition.
